well, after a month of work- and personal-life related travel, deadlines, and other shenanigans, another blog overhaul is in the works. the big move(s) happen over the course of the next 7-10 days. which means that we will soon be in the market for another blog name and - more importantly - will go back to relying on the trusty blog to relay the sometimes banal, day-to-day goings on of our new montana lives. banal in its renditions of what almost everyone will be going through, but hopefully uplifting in to-be-told accounts of hikes, bicycle rides, kayak trips, move-seeing, and the comings-up of the adult lives that we'll be living together. there is a lot of excitement in that, i think.

in the interim, suffice it to say that we had an amazing time on the alaskan adventure. every day we saw something absolutely gorgeous. we got some QT in with each other, with our families, and out in the fresh (at times VERY fresh) alaskan air. we're both still in the process of adjusting to the time change - actually, i had way more trouble flying west; matt's currently readjusting to having less than 16 hours of daylight - but we're so happy that we made the trip. it was absolutely lovely. and we even dressed up for dinner once or twice!!
